Last Meeting, April 20

Bill Johnson 1st VP and JROTC/ROTC BFC SAR Chair stands in for our President Jeff Myers (whom is out sick) and presents Cadet Jack Bowyer with a $200 check and 2nd Place Certificate from the State of Ohio SAR for winning our Chapter Distinguished Bronze JROTC Medal and representing us at the State level. Cadet Bowyer attends the Grove City High School where is is currently the Battalion Cadet Commander for the 2024/2025 school year! What an outstanding accomplishmen

Tom Arends (past president for BFC SAR and current BOM member) presents to Bill Johnson 1st VP two more streamers to add to our BFC Flag. Tom attended the last Ohio State SAR BOM meeting and accepted the streamers from the State to the Chapter on our behalf. The Blue Streamer is for making Distinguished Chapter for 2023 and the Red Streamer is for placing 2nd in the State for New Members. Thank you Tom!

Report from Joyce Myers on President Jeff's condition as of 5/31.

We had our meeting with Jeff's doctors today and cleared up many mixed messages we have been getting on this roller coaster. Doctors report Jeff is very, very sick. Before we move forward with more treatment he needs to gain some strength. It may take a while for him to gain this strength. We now have a plan to move forward with some physical therapy for strength first and then we will look at options. This is a very delicate situation and the medical staff is taking this day by day. Any day we could go backward and have a different plan. We appreciate all your prayers and its amazing how loved we feel. We know God answers prayers and performs miracles. We are still in the middle of this storm with Jeff, and Jesus is by our side. We ask that you continue with prayers for healing. Specifically, strength of physical body, lung function, continuing to be more alert, and clear out any cancer cells. We love you and appreciate your prayers. ❤️

The Vietnam Memorial Fund has announce that The Wall That Heals will be in Delaware County in September. It is a three quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center.
